Teen Weight Loss Articles

 

Over the years I have trained a lot of teenagers…parents of teens I pray for you daily! LOL
Seriously, being a teen is certainly harder today than it was when you and I were younger BUT there is hope. Just like you and I, teens have choices they make every day. If they know what the healthy food choices are then they can at least be armed with the knowledge. Thay may not choopse the healthy food all the time but if they do here and there it’s a start.

The problem I’m seeing is that Mom and Dad aren’t teaching the teen what healthy choices are (mainly because they don’t really know themselves) and the teen simply doesn’t have a chance at a healthy lifestyle, especially with all the pier pressure.
Before they even know it they are Sophmores in high school staring at obesity, high cholesterol and high blood pressure…INCREDIBLE!

Mom and Dad listen up…THE SCHOOLS ARE NOT GOING TO TEACH YOUR KIDS HEALTHY CHOICES…YOU need to. You also need to have healthy food available to them at home.

You also need to go the extra mile at keeping your teens active. Sitting in from of the computer and playing hours and hours of Xbox is NOT helping. I know it sounds like a lot but these guys are almost adults and bad habit are very close to being set in stone. Help them by educating yourself first and then sharig what you know with them. If they won’t listen, DON’T GIVE UP…show by example. It’s your most powerful weapon.
